Job Overview

Position: Facility Process Engineer

Location: New Orleans, LA

Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Key Responsibilities:

The Facility Process Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Conducting process and mechanical design for oil and gas production, transmission, and distribution facilities.
  • Executing site visits to collect data and assess existing infrastructure for upgrades and modifications.
  • Creating flow schematics and collaborating with the drafting team to ensure accurate record drawings.
  • Coordinating with diverse teams, including engineers, designers, and management, to facilitate project success.
  • Developing and reviewing P&IDs, mechanical flow sheets, and safety diagrams.
  • Preparing regulatory submissions and conducting engineering studies.
  • Performing calculations for process and utility equipment sizing and creating process flow diagrams.
  • Conducting Process Hazards Analysis and risk assessments.
  • Leading Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering for various projects.
  • Designing systems for production separation, dehydration, and treatment processes.
  • Providing on-site support during construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
Qualifications:

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in engineering design or project management within the oil and gas sector.
  • Experience in performing walkdowns of flow schematics and piping layouts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and applicable codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in developing technical specifications and engineering studies.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and travel to various sites as required.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members at all levels.
Technical Skills:

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with hydraulic simulation and pipe stress analysis software.
  • Familiarity with process simulation tools and CAD software.
Safety Training:

Candidates must be willing to obtain necessary safety credentials, including:

  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Basic Orientation Plus Safety Class
  • Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET)
