Position: Processor Operator
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday
Role Summary: The Processor Operator plays a crucial role in the safe operation of coffee processing machinery, ensuring the timely and efficient production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently operate processing machinery in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations to achieve daily production and waste targets.
- Execute start-up and shut-down procedures for processing equipment.
- Understand and uphold standards for product specifications, blends, and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on processing equipment, including cleaning and inspections.
- Utilize the Digital Production System to monitor downtime and maintain quality compliance documentation.
- Complete all necessary quality control and production paperwork accurately.
- Report any product issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while assisting with product transitions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training initiatives.
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of tools and equipment, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Support and comply with GMP standards and understand the emergency action plan.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; an Associate Degree in Process Technology is advantageous.
- Preferred 2+ years of experience in machine operation or production.
Qualifications:
- Technical skills in operating processing equipment, performing start-up/shut-down sequences, and basic maintenance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication and time management.
- Leadership qualities such as a positive attitude and teamwork.
