Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Location: New Orleans

Salary: 50-55K

Bachelor degree: Highly preferred

Work Environment: 100% onsite

Will consider recent Graduates with an HR specific Degree.

The human resource coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

Essential Functions

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for administrative staff positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts pre-employment screenings on candidates for hire including background, conflicts checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Responsible for entire onboarding process of all new hires (attorneys and staff).
  • Schedules/coordinates new hire orientation including benefits enrollment and departmental trainings.
  • Responsible for compliance reports and data management; EEO-1, diversity reporting, compensation surveys, other data projects, as needed.
  • Administrator of employee recognition programs, United Way campaign, etc.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintain personnel files and HRIS database (Paylocity)
  • Completes reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Assists the Director with HR projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
