Sales Development Representative

Position Title: Sales Development Representative

Location: Sheldon, MO

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven B2B Sales Development Representative to join our growing sales team at Jones Twine and Net Wrap. This role is responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and achieving high sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, a passion for driving growth, and a relentless cold-calling prospector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and target potential business clients through research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Customer Handoff Management: Maintains proper handoff procedure to Regional Account Managers appropriately with clear and precise communication.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) regarding client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback for senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and client management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Ag, Business, Marketing, or a related field but not required for the right candidate
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or a related role, with a strong focus on new account generation.
  • Travel: Up to 25% of travel is expected to close new opportunities as needed.
  • Remote Work: We prefer our sales employees to be on-site when not traveling.

Benefits:
