Ziegler CAT is seeking a driven sales professional to become a vital part of our Agricultural Sales Division. The Agricultural Sales Executive will be responsible for cultivating relationships with local farmers and promoting our extensive range of agricultural products, including the AGCO/Challenger product line, LEXION combine line, Ag-Chem product line, and Ziegler's pre-owned inventory. This role offers a competitive base salary along with unlimited commission potential, a company vehicle, and access to the latest business technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and Ziegler Ag Equipment.
  • Develop and document a strategic coverage plan to enhance customer interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Ag Regional Sales Manager to foster a team-oriented sales approach.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from administrative and managerial staff.
  • Address customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engage with specialists as necessary, including product experts and manufacturer representatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, balancing personal rapport with professional integrity.
  • Present yourself as a polished and professional representative of Ziegler.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer information and sales activities using CRM software.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts for processed orders.
  • Adhere to established timelines for paperwork and reporting, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
  • Plan and strategize for effective sales calls.
  • Implement pricing strategies that align with company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with management and colleagues across departments.
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries diligently.
  • Regularly prospect and reach out to potential new customers.
  • Create and deliver presentations to facilitate customer decision-making.
  • Utilize product demonstrations effectively, ensuring thorough follow-up with written summaries and quotes.
  • Highlight product features based on customer needs and technical knowledge.
  • Guide the sales conversation with insightful questions to uncover customer needs.
  • Respond swiftly to customer requests.
  • Continuously seek tailored product or service solutions for unique customer requirements.
  • Research and understand competitive products and market offerings.
  • Resolve customer issues throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain strong connections with key accounts to ensure ongoing business relationships.
  • Promote additional products and services based on customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business or agriculture-related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience in agricultural equipment or related fields.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and agricultural knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Personal attributes: Self-motivated, customer-focused, eager to learn, empathetic, confident, and a team player.
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Able to operate equipment for demonstration purposes.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear.
  • Work conditions may vary between indoor and outdoor environments, with moderate noise levels at times.
