Are you an experienced HR professional ready to shape our company culture and keep our team engaged? We’re a Draper, UT-based TPA looking for a strong Human Resources Manager. You’ll handle employee relations, staffing, payroll, benefits, and legal compliance. We’ll need you to create and enforce policies, organize training, and ensure smooth office operations. You’ll have at least five years of HR experience in a HR department of one, and you’ll excel in communication, HRIS and payroll systems, and talent acquisition.

What You’ll Do
  • Culture – Shape our company culture by planning fun events and activities that bring our team closer together.
  • Employee Relations – Keep our team happy and engaged by managing interactions and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Staffing – Find, hire, and welcome awesome new team members to join us.
  • Payroll and Compensation – Make sure everyone gets paid accurately and on time, including salaries, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Benefits Administration – Handle all the cool perks and benefits we offer, from health insurance to retirement plans.
  • Policies and Discipline – Create and enforce our rules and handling any issues with fairness.
  • Development and Training – Help our team grow with exciting training and career development opportunities.
  • Legal Compliance – Keep us on track with all the labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Office Management – Make sure our office runs smoothly, and everyone has what they need.
  • Reporting – Share important HR updates and reports with our leadership team and other stakeholders.
What We Want
Experience
You’ll need at least five years of experience in each of these,
  • HR Department of One – Proven track record of running an HR department solo.
  • Small-Company Experience – Experience in a small-sized company of 40-60 employees would be perfect for our team size.
  • Policies Creation – Skilled in creating and implementing effective company policies and employee handbooks.
Skills
  • Effective Communication – Great at communicating clearly and effectively with everyone.
  • HRIS and Payroll Systems – Proficient with HRIS and payroll systems, especially Zenefits.
  • Microsoft 365 – Confident using Microsoft 365 tools like Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Talent Acquisition – Talented at finding and hiring the right people for our team.

  • Organized – Super organized, keeping everything running smoothly.

Who We Are
We are a third-party administrator (TPA) specializing in health and benefit plans, based in Draper, UT. For 21 years, we have partnered with insurance brokers and carriers to serve their customers. Our services include billing and collecting premiums, adjudicating claims, providing customer service, and managing vendors for self-funded and level-funded groups of all sizes.

Things to Know
  • In-Office Role – This is a five-day-a-week, in-office position. We want you to be where the people are.
  • Immediate Start – We need someone who can start right away to learn from the current team member who is leaving.
  • Work Authorization – You'll need to provide evidence that you are legally authorized to work in the US when you start.
  • Visa Sponsorship – We are not sponsoring visas currently.
  • No recruiters, please - We prefer to source this one on our own.
Our Hiring Process
  1. Apply – Apply online through our ATS system or job board with a resume and cover letter explaining why you’re perfect for the job. Please do not contact the office.
  2. Email Questions – You’ll get a few clarifying questions by email.
  3. Video initial Interview – We’ll have a one-hour videoconferencing session.
  4. Work Sample – We’ll ask you to show us what you can do in an hour-long exercise.
  5. Final Interview – A 60–90-minute interview with some of the executive leaders.
  6. Background Investigations – We will do a background check and speak with your references.
  7. Offer – We’ll agree to terms and make an offer
