Position
As an HR Generalist at Rocky Mountain Laboratories, you will manage various aspects of human resources, focusing on HR functions, compliance, and employee relations. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively handle the complexities of HR management while contributing to our organization's success and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits such as 401k, and PTO, and work directly with our insurance broker.
- Provide guidance and support to resolve workplace issues and conflicts.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Conduct training sessions on HR-related topics for employees and managers. Present updates on employee policies to staff and senior leadership. Ensure all employees understand company policies.
- Manage employee performance evaluations and the performance management process.
- Collaborate with management on staffing needs and workforce planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Support workplace diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Improve onboarding processes in collaboration with our Lead Recruiter.
- Edit and maintain our employee handbook, and eventually research, implement, and manage a handbook builder software.
- Train senior leadership on new HR tools and technologies. Utilize HR software, including Gusto and SwipeClock.
- Work with ChatGPT and other emerging technologies to improve HR tasks and efficiency.
- Share payroll responsibility with the senior accountant.
- Respond to Department of Labor, Workforce Services, and related inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Four years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in HRIS, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and employee engagement initiatives.
- Experience in HR within a healthcare setting is desirable.
Work Location: Draper, UT
Job Type: Full-time, 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday
Starting Pay Range: $70,000 to $90,000
