Job DescriptionJob Description

LMS Construction is seeking a Working Forman / Carpenter for their multifamily builds across the southeast, US. The Working foreman will participate in putting work in place and needs to excel at carpenter skills. This individual will perform assigned tasks to successful completion and assist in daily operations on site. They will help coordinate between Site superintendents, subcontractors, and the operations team to help support safe working conditions, required productions rates and expected quality standards. They need the ability to lead crews to complete various task or projects on the jobsite. The ability to communicate, read blueprints, excel at carpenter skills and work with a group while representing LMS and their values is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate for assigned task.
  • Assist in daily Operations on site.
  • Performing Manual Labor and Carpentry skilled task as required.
  • Manages the materials deliveries and assist in lay down yards.
  • May lead small crews to help drive completion of units.
  • Communicates daily with site supervisors.
  • Assist in morning meetings with site crews.
  • Ability to communicate at a high level, show good judgement and think critically to solve problems.
  • Help to manage subcontractors and vendors to affectively complete projects.
  • Help to plan project schedules and hold responsible parties accountable to executing their respective work to ensure the overall success of the project. 
  • Assist in Daily logs, QC reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Help oversee safety and quality control for the projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be self-driven.
  • 5+ years’ experience working on a construction site
  • Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
  • Must be able to take direction and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds, stand, walk, sit as the job demands.
