Job Summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking a skilled Local Class A CDL Driver to join our Richmond, VA location. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering finished products to customers at various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, traffic managers, and external customers
  • Maintain a positive relationship with all customers
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal DOT regulations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on company vehicles
  • Load and unload materials and products as needed
  • Assist in fueling and maintaining company equipment
  • Report any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL driver's license
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Previous employment checks must be acceptable
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in with little notice
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
