We are currently seeking a Logistics Administrative Support Analyst to join our team working in Pascagoula, MS.

What you’ll do:

Provide logistics administrative support to PMS 339-Fleet Introduction Support Services for the US Navy.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate purchase requests for each hull for all necessary consumable office supplies and assist in the inventory and issuance of consumable items
  • Participate in documentation reviews to identify discrepancies and initiate corrective actions
  • Assist the ship’s Supply Officer during COSAL inventory and track material shortage lists
  • Provide technical support to the Supply Department and incorporate previous lessons learned
  • Assist the command with tracking the requisitioning, expediting and receipt of materials
  • Coordinate the distribution and management of government provided industrial safety gear (hard hats, safety glasses, etc.) to crew personnel
  • Assist the Supply Department Head with instructions, notices, and various technical documentation
  • Act as liaison with NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, the shipbuilder, and vendors to resolve logistics issues
  • Provide monthly status progress reports
  • Develop and maintain lessons learned for certifications, ship trials, Crew Move Aboard (CMA), training, and sail away
  • Manage databases and update the order status of purchase requests
  • Track the progress of the POA&M for Supply Officer and assist with resolution for delinquent requirements
  • Attend meetings and provide onsite/in person support as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or GED
  • Strong MS Office suite skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
  • Prior database experience with the ability to operate and update the Fleet Introduction Plan of Action and Milestone Program, Lessons Learned, and Integrated Logistics Support databases
  • Ability to provide ships with programs, technical documentation and deliverables electronically during crew development through move-aboard
  • Must be able to physically maneuver on board US Navy ships including accessing high and confined spaces and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Current Secret clearance
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of military terms (especially Navy) and practices
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task to address competing priorities
  • Sound judgement in resolving various problems and making routine recommendations
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential in this team orientated-customer service position
