Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA.R. Mazzotta is recruiting for a Facilities Manager / Property Manager on behalf of our client, a company with properties across Fairfield and New Haven counties. This role is based out of Trumbull and involves regular travel to various sites.
If you are organized, tech-savvy, enjoy hands-on work, and have a passion for real estate, this could be the perfect opportunity for youThis position offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with an hourly rate of $25. Availability for on-call emergencies is also required.
As the Facilities Manager / Property Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Oversee maintenance for 4 shopping centers across Fairfield and New Haven counties.
  • Supervise vendors for services including lawn care, sweeping, snow removal, janitorial, and elevator maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance standards, address deficiencies promptly, and follow up with vendors as needed.
  • Assist in creating project/repair specifications and evaluating bids in cooperation with the main office.
  • Coordinate annual testing and repairs for fire sprinklers and alarms across all properties.
  • Handle minor hands-on tasks when necessary.
  • Maintain organized communication via email, phone, and text.
The selected Facilities Manager / Property Manager will have the following expertise:
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in email, text, and smartphone use.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Comfort with hands-on tasks, such as minor repairs, painting, or litter picking.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate vendor services to maintain high standards.
  • Interest or experience in real estate is a plus.
  • Previous experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a similar role preferred.
