Role Purpose:
The Janitorial Worker plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness across various facilities. This position involves independently executing cleaning tasks in assigned areas, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cleaning of facilities, including restrooms, office spaces, communal areas, staircases, windows, shelving, and kitchens.
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing floors, as well as emptying waste and recycling bins.
- Engage in exterior maintenance duties, which may involve snow removal, sanding walkways, and managing outdoor waste.
- Utilize industrial cleaning equipment, including scrubbers and power washers, to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and report any shortages.
- Complete additional tasks as required to meet service agreements.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a High School Diploma and ideally have at least one year of experience in custodial or maintenance roles. Flexibility to work in diverse environments and under varying weather conditions is essential.
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and show initiative. A successful background check is required, and some positions may necessitate a Department of Defense clearance.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves physical activity, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Candidates should be prepared for tasks that require bending, pushing, and carrying.
