Purpose of the Role:

The Custodial Services Specialist plays a vital role within The Kennedy Collective Inc., ensuring that our governmental clients receive a meticulously maintained and sanitized environment. This position is responsible for the independent cleaning of designated areas within various facilities, utilizing accepted industry practices, equipment, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive cleaning of facilities, including restrooms, office spaces, communal areas, staircases, windows, shelving, doors, auditoriums, classrooms, kitchens, and cafeterias, as per the outlined scope of work.
  • Execute cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, buffing floors, stripping and waxing surfaces, disposing of waste and recyclables, and cleaning frequently used appliances and surfaces.
  • Perform general outdoor maintenance, which may involve snow removal, sanding walkways, and collecting litter.
  • Operate specialized cleaning equipment, including scrubbers, burnishers, power washers, and snow removal tools.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and adheres to contract specifications.
  • Manage and restock cleaning supplies and materials as necessary.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required to meet contract obligations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred one year of experience in custodial or maintenance roles.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments and conditions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong independent work ethic, good judgment, and proactive initiative.
  • Must successfully pass comprehensive federal and state background checks.
  • Possession of a vehicle may be required for travel to different work sites.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to handle and utilize equipment and materials, which may involve lifting, carrying, and bending.
  • Regularly lift weights up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
