About the Role:

In this role, the Store Design Coordinator will be responsible for planning, designing functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces across all store locations. They will be responsible for assessing space requirements, determining optimal furniture placement, and selecting decorative items, all while adhering to the relevant blueprint, building code, and inspection requirements. Models and acts in accordance with 7 Leaves Cafe guiding principles.

Salary Range: $24 - $28 per hour

Location: Huntington Beach, CA (Onsite)

Job Responsibilities:

In the Store Design Coordinator role, you will have an opportunity to serve our team by:

  • Creating a range of relevant, innovative design solutions in response to changing timelines, project and workload demands while meeting aesthetic expectations and operational requirements.

  • Prepares sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs for approval.

  • Consults with management and vendors to select materials, furnishings, and decor.

  • Determines timelines and project costs and present accurate estimates to management.

  • Be able to order and or source the necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.

  • Oversees the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements in coordination with the Construction Team.

  • Ensures management satisfaction by visiting the project on completion; resolves any complaints or concerns.

  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.

  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to understand store design requirements and objectives

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in store design to continuously innovate and elevate customer experience.

  • Utilize design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans

  • Other areas of responsibility as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Some AutoCAD/2D, SketchUp 3D or Revit experience is a plus

  • Prolonged period of sitting at a desk

  • Must be able to lift at least 15lbs at a time

  • Food and beverage or restaurant experience preferred but not required
