As a full-time managerial role without direct reports, the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) plays a pivotal part in the daily operations of the assigned retail location. Collaborating closely with the Store Manager, the ASM ensures an exceptional experience for both employees and customers alike. This position is integral in driving profitable business outcomes while gaining insights into the operational model and corporate culture.

The ASM possesses extensive expertise and sales acumen in the premium and luxury market segments. Engaging daily with a diverse clientele, including customers, contractors, and designers, the ASM is dedicated to fostering long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhances customer satisfaction by establishing rapport and providing tailored solutions.
  • Guides customers through intricate products and services, whether in-store, via chat, or virtually.
  • Utilizes product knowledge to craft unique solutions that instill confidence in purchasing decisions.
  • Develops and maintains a personalized client portfolio, fostering lasting relationships.
  • Engages in consistent follow-up with clients to anticipate their future needs.
  • Oversees customer interactions, including pre-sale consultations, installations, and post-sale follow-ups.
  • Partners with the Store Manager to oversee a team of 10-25 employees, offering coaching, training, and performance management insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in business, military, or related fields.
  • At least 1 year of experience in retail or sales-related roles.
  • 1 year of experience in budget management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, sales management, or related fields.
  • 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
  • 1 year of experience in appliance or premium luxury product sales.
