Are you an experienced professional in employee benefits consulting? Our client seeks a Senior Account Executive to join their team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you'll engage with clients daily, foster strong relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor on benefit plans. If you're ready to take the lead on complex accounts and provide strategic guidance, this position could be the next step in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate terms, coverage, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships, serving as a subject matter expert on Health & Welfare Benefits.
- Coordinate project timelines to ensure timely client deliverables.
- Utilize online tools to develop quotations and propose benefit strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory issues to advise clients effectively.
- Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship as needed.
- Oversee open enrollment processes and conduct compliance audits.
- Deep understanding of benefits administration, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and anticipate client needs.
- Strong time management and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Confident presentation and public speaking skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Over 8 years of industry experience with a focus on health and welfare consulting.
- Valid Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License required.
- GBA or CEBS Certification is advantageous.
