SMPsychotherapy & Counseling Services is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Intake Specialist to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a dedicated professional who excels in clinical assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and effective communication. This position offers flexibility with the option to work in person at our Hartford office or virtually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments, providing accurate diagnoses based on the DSM-5 or other relevant diagnostic manuals.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure appropriate care planning and client referrals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, clinicians, and insurance providers.
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of intake assessments and client information.
- Assigning clients to appropriate clinician for treatment.
- Assist clients in understanding their treatment options and next steps within our practice.
- Obtain and maintain credentialing with all insurance companies SMPsychotherapy participates with.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as an LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor, LCSW- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or LMFT- Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in the state of Connecticut.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of clinical assessment and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to complete insurance credentialing with SMP’s participating providers.
