Position Purpose:

The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Chief and other tribal staff members in the daily administration of new and existing projects or assignments and performs advanced-level administrative support duties. This position must have approximately ten years Court experience and play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various special projects within the court system. Responsible for coordinating and implementing projects to improve court processes, enhance judicial efficiency, and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

  • Coordinate and lead special projects within the court system
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify project goals and objectives
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project initiatives
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with court procedures and regulations
  • Provide training and support to court staff on new processes or systems implemented through projects
  • Serve as a liaison between different departments involved in the projects
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance court operations
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Education and Experience:Knowledge:

  • Applicable local, State, and federal laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Computer business applications and software, equipment, and systems for project management.
  • Economic, social, and cultural stimulants and barriers.
  • English language usage, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Ethical behavior and business practices
  • Principles of public administration, supervision and management.
  • Process improvement.
  • Project planning and management. Research and analysis.
  • Technical aspects of field of specialty.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience working within a court system or legal environment is required
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing special projects
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software applications
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines consistently
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across different departments
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Legal Studies, Public Administration, etc.) required
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (Legal Studies, Public Administration, etc.) preferred

  • Work cooperatively and effectively.
  • Work independently.

Training and Experience:

  • REQUIRED to possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • REQUIRED to possess a bachelor’s degree or (10) years’ experience, Master's Degree preferred in a field related to the technical skills required of the project, and three (3) years paid work experience in project planning and/or business management.

License:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license

Other Requirements:

  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to a random drug screen policy.
  • Successfully pass criminal background checks.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have proof of liability insurance.
  • Maintain any training and credential requirements as per policy and procedure.

  • Efficiently follow general shop safety rules and regulations. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment including wearing Personal Protective Equipment.

Work Requirements:Position involves prolonged sitting, stooping, bending, lifting, or carrying up to 30 pounds on a daily basis. Work is generally performed in an office environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and/or temperature.
