Job DescriptionJob Description

DeRomo's is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team The Administrative Assistant provides supplemental support to the banquet and food/beverage departments. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for fielding phone calls, answering questions for events, assisting customer inquiries, drafting communications, data input, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data input, word processing, coordinating travel arrangements, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing.
  • Drafts expert communications in a professional voice and with absolute precision.
  • Creates functional spreadsheets, professional documents, and creative presentations.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by the Executive Chef, Restaurant/Bar Manager, and Banquet Manager
  • Performs routine maintenance of office equipment.
  • Assist with mail sorting and distribution.
  • Takes inventory of office supplies, facilitates receiving and distributing supplies, and audits invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to drive, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, talk and hear/listen. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, feel/reach with hands and arms.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Ability to understand instructions and work independently to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and excellent command of the English language.
  • Excellent people skills with an ability to partner with company leaders.
  • Confident ability to problem solve with forward thought.
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to master the different technologies and media platforms used in the workplace.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
