The Development Department is seeking a full time Development and Institutional Giving Manager to join their team. This position will sit in the Upper West side of Manhattan.

Job Summary: The Development and Institutional Giving Manager assists in all aspects of securing and maintaining foundation/government grants. This role is also responsible for training and overseeing gift processing, assisting in some aspects of major gifts fundraising, and serves as a consultant liaison with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) firm.

Reports to:Chief Development Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.* Assist in all aspects of securing and maintaining foundation/government grants including:

· Write and submit LOIs, proposals, and reports to foundations, corporations, and government entities.

· Work across the organization to gather information and assets.

· Meet all internal and external deadlines while managing multiple projects.

· Manage funder portals.

· Record keeping across the departments tracking systems.

· Manage gift processing for foundation, corporation, and government revenue.

· Serve as the liaison for site visits for foundation personnel and government officials.

· Create collateral for meetings and site visits with prospective and current donors and partners.

· Conduct research and create strategies for prospective funders.

· Assist with creating budgets based upon anticipated fundraising results.

· Oversee intern projects on Institutional Relations side of department.

2.* Train and oversee gift processing role for Development Coordinator

3.*Assist in some aspects of major gifts fundraising including:

· Coordinate and create collateral for meetings with prospective and current donors, board members, and committees.

· Provide customer service to donors and prospects.

· Assist with creating budgets based upon anticipated fundraising results.

· Assist with planning and coordinating solicitation events for prospective and current donors, including the Board.

· Oversee intern projects on Major Gifts side of department.

· Assist with annual Himan Brown Symposium and Gala

o Work across the organization to seek approvals: Development Department, Finance Department, Legal, Board, etc.

o Manage vendors and other consultant agencies to ensure event success and maximize workflow efficiency.

o Engage with current and prospective donors and general public at respective events.

4.* Serve as consultant Liaison

· Manage gift processing system, coordinating with the Development Department, Finance Department, and outside firm.

· Ensure effective use of donor management system to measure and achieve development goals.

Performs other related duties as required.

· Ability to communicate and interact effectively with adults and geriatric population.

Job Qualifications:

· Must have obtained four year Bachelors of Arts degree

· Must have worked in Development environment for at least one year and have experience with both Individual giving and Institutional giving.
