Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

The Controller Services Associate is responsible for client’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.

 

Essential Functions:


  • Bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple client engagements, including accounts receivable and payable and bank reconciliations.
  • Client payroll processing.
  • Direct client service-oriented projects, including frequent client contact that requires representing the firm in a professional manner.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Client Service Leaders.


Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Minimum of an associate degree with an emphasis in accounting.
  • Preferred candidates will possess or be working toward completion of a bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in accounting, with a goal of qualifying for and passing the CPA exam.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe software platforms.
  • Word processing, use of spreadsheets, email, document management and calendaring programs is required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds at times.
  • Extended hours are required at certain times throughout the year, depending on client needs.
