Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineering Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing technical support and expertise in various production processes, including fabrication, metal finishing, and assembly. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and identifying root causes of production downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for production operations, focusing on controls and automation.
- Identify and eliminate production barriers across various automation levels, including stamping presses, welders, conveyors, and robotics.
- Enhance and modify existing control systems, including robotics, ladder logic, and motor controls.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams on control modifications and installations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical and hydraulic schematics, panel layouts, and programming files.
- Implement and oversee data collection systems for production equipment.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the electrical engineering field.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including second shifts and weekends.
- Proficient in Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems.
- Strong skills in PLC programming and CAD software.
- Experience with motion control and robotic programming.
- Familiarity with machine vision systems.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, reports, and schematics.
Work Schedule:
Standard working hours with potential for shifts as required.
