Job Summary:
As an Inventory Control Specialist at our company, you will be responsible for managing inventory control processes, tracking and reporting inventory, and ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to optimize inventory levels, resolve order and customer-based issues, and maintain effective working relationships. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and work on project teams related to inventory forecasting efforts. Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: 8901 Farrow Road Columbia SC
- Pay Rate: $23/hr
- Shift: 8am-5pm

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team responsible for inventory control, including planning, tracking, trending, and reporting
- Prepare purchase requisitions and process receipt of inventory
- Provide staff development and training on processes and software
- Continuously seek process improvement opportunities and make appropriate recommendations to management
- Monitor, forecast, and plan for inventory needs
- Interface with workstation-related project teams, ISSM Workstation Infrastructure Standards Committee, and IS Procurement
- Coordinate, distribute, monitor, and report the Receiving team's work
- Make recommendations to improve productivity, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness
- Resolve order and customer-based issues or concerns to ensure no impact on productivity
- Oversee shipping of equipment back to vendors and provide feedback to IS Procurement on order issues
- Review and reconcile actual inventory to reported inventory, identify process gaps, and assign corrections
- Oversee the planning and shipping of equipment to remote sites, ensuring compliance with inventory management requirements
- Oversee receipt and verification of equipment from couriers, resolve discrepancies with IS Procurement
- Ensure all processes meet internal and external audit requirements and assist in quarterly audit reviews

Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required
- 1 year of shipping/receiving or inventory control experience in a production environment
- 1 year of experience with spreadsheet and database applications, including spreadsheet and query development
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain in a stationary position throughout the day
- Ability to transport or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on a continuous basis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
