The Stockroom Utility Operator will be responsible for managing and organizing the stockroom, ensuring that all inventory is accurately tracked, stored, and distributed. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Unload and unpack shipments of products and materials, ensuring proper storage.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
- Perform regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist in the coordination of stockroom activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping materials.
- Work closely with other departments to fulfill inventory needs and address any discrepancies.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, and to stand and walk for extended periods.
