Position Overview:
Insight Global is in search of a Senior Project Engineer with a focus on Utility Coordination for our prominent Transportation client.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to establish project scope, objectives, and feasibility.
  • Develop budgets, timelines, program plans, and force account plans for upcoming projects.
  • Oversee Requests for Proposals (RFPs), manage consultant contracts, and collaborate on design concepts and reviews with Operations departments.
  • Act as a representative of the Authority in discussions with special interest groups, local communities, and during public meetings.
  • Support the Project Manager throughout procurement and construction phases, including project management, construction oversight, and coordination with governmental agencies and the Authority's Operating departments.
  • Assist Project Engineers/Architects with project management tasks.
  • Ensure effective project execution, resource allocation, and adherence to budget and schedules.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the work of a small team of engineers and construction inspectors, assessing manpower requirements and assigning tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Consult with supervisors on unique challenges, developments, contractual matters, and policy issues.
  • Provide training to Project Engineers/Architects in project management responsibilities and to Senior Construction Inspectors and Senior Field Engineers in project supervision.
  • Make independent decisions regarding engineering challenges and construction methodologies.
  • Comply with all safety and security protocols, reporting any concerns that may impact operations or personnel.

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or PE registration
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience
- Strong understanding of construction project management techniques
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and project management software
- Valid driver's license
