Precision Security Team is a veteran owned and operated company in the northern Colorado area. We service areas from Denver, CO to Cheyenne, WY. In operation since 2018, we have grown exponentially, being entrusted with many local government contracts, other critical sites, schools, patrol, events, etc. We pride ourselves with hiring veterans, previous law enforcement, and first responders. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Precision Security Team, you will assist with all security-related concerns and other requests as needed to ensure a safe environment for the public at your assigned site. Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team owns the client's experience and their bottom line. It is of the utmost importance to uphold Precision Security Team’s professional image to the client, the public, and law enforcement at all times. It is imperative that you practice and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct everyday.


Your schedule would be 5:15 am-5:30 pm 3 to 4 days a week between Monday and Saturday. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.


It is required that candidates travel to Fort Collins for an interview and training.


Duties and Responsibilities: The following are duties you may perform at your site. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • interacting with clients, patrons, guests, partners, coworkers, and the public
  • maintaining situational awareness at all times
  • conducting foot patrols
  • denying access to unauthorized personnel
  • securing your site and preventing vandalism and theft
  • assisting with emergencies and building evacuations
  • utilizing reporting systems and contacting appropriate parties for site situations
  • issuing, maintaining, and facilitating badge access for your site
  • maintaining confidentiality of all activities within your site
  • utilizing verbal judo to de-escalate situations
  • utilizing minimal use of force unless the individual poses an imminent physical danger to themselves, someone else, or you
  • maintaining a professional and conservative demeanor at all times
  • following SOPs at assigned site
  • following, communicating, and enforcing local laws and regulations

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: This site pays $19.50/hour.


This is a W2 position. Employees working 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits.


Our office is located in Fort Collins, while the site is located in Cheyenne. Colorado and Wyoming are both at-will employment states.


Hiring Process: Your application will consist of a resume and a Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Assessment. Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes and assessments to identify candidates who align well with our company’s needs. If your resume and assessment stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.


Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication.


During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role.
