Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Construction Surveillance Technician/ with a Top-Secret security clearance with to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction site security, technology, and protocols. In this dual role, the individual will be responsible for overseeing construction site surveillance operations and conducting training sessions for our surveillance personnel, enhancing their expertise and skills. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the security and safety of our clients' construction projects while also contributing to the professional development of our team members.
Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, and operate advanced surveillance systems at construction sites.
· Monitor surveillance equipment and respond proactively to any technical issues.
· Conduct regular assessments of the construction site's security vulnerabilities.
· Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop security plans.
· Ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures.
· Evaluate potential risks and implement necessary adjustments to surveillance strategies.
· Investigate incidents or security breaches and provide detailed reports to management.
· Communicate and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
· Stay up to date with emerging surveillance technologies and best practices.
· Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for surveillance personnel.
· Design instructional materials, presentations, and hands-on training exercises.
· Assess the training needs of surveillance team members and create tailored training plans.
· Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to measure trainees' progress.
· Provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance team members' skills.
· Stay current with industry trends and incorporate relevant updates into training modules.
· Collaborate with other departments to improve cross-functional training opportunities.
· Participate in continuous professional development to maintain expertise in surveillance techniques and teaching methodologies.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction site surveillance and security, with 5 to 10 years preferred.
· Prior experience in conducting training sessions or instructional roles is required.
· Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting surveillance equipment and systems.
· Thorough knowledge of construction site security protocols and industry best practices.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and mentor team members.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in addressing security concerns.
· Ability to adapt to dynamic construction environments and varying project requirements.
· Demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
· Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and ethics related to construction security.
· Top-Secret security clearance required
