The Director of Business Operations & Support is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the Member Care, CEI and Retail Sales departments. The position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of each department and is required to use his/her knowledge of business strategies, polices, procedures, and software programs to maximize productivity in these areas, and ensure member satisfaction as a result of their customer service experience.


Requirements:
  • Oversight and supervision of the member care department which includes developing, implementing, and enhancing operating procedures that provide quality customer service.
  • Oversight and supervision of the daily operations of the retail store and its employees, including implementing strategies to increase sales, profitability, and inventory management.
  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for process improvement based upon feedback and trends.
  • Development and oversight of training initiatives for data systems and software applications.
  • Develop and implement departmental goals in accordance with GSCM’s plan of work.
  • Orient and supervise employees; monitor individual and team performance.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and online advertising.
  • Optimize online content for SEO and track website analytics to measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Update website content and implement new templates released by GSUSA using Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including programs, product, and customer support, to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Assisting with the promotion and production of major fundraisers.
  • Develop and execute marketing automation strategies using platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Collaborate with data coordinator to maintain data quality in VS.2.0.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications department on Volunteer Toolkit management and uploads.
  • Assist in creating layouts and designs for advertisements, flyers, magazines, corporate reports, and other materials using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.


Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, finance management, economics, computer science or any related field with four years of directly related work experience, three years of customer service experience, and a minimum of two years managerial experience.
  • Registration as a girl scout member, and adherence to GSCM’s policies and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft software and other CRM’s.
  • Strong leadership abilities, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include some evenings and/or weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent collaboration and team building skills.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of, or willingness to learn, girl scout program, principles, and standards.
