Southlake, United States Allied OMS LLC Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

Allied OMS is a doctor-owned, doctor-led, and doctor-governed management services organization (MSO) in the oral and maxillofacial surgery space that combines the best of private practice with the best of private equity.

Leveraging decades of experience building platform businesses in the healthcare industry and collectively owned by member surgeons, private equity, and management consulting veterans, Allied OMS offers essential tools for maximizing practice value.

Grounded in clinical excellence, doctors in the Allied OMS network maintain essential roles in management, governance, and clinical practice and participate directly in the platform's growth. Seventy-five percent of the Allied OMS board of directors are doctor members, and Allied OMS doctors lead 100% of the platform's management committees.

Founded in 2020 in partnership with DuneGlass Capital, a healthcare services-focused independent sponsor, the Allied OMS network now includes 60 doctors serving patients from 42 locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

About the role
Allied OMS is seeking an HR Intern to join our high-growth company, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our Human Resources department. This role, supporting our HR Team in multiple aspects, provides a platform for you to showcase your skills and creativity. The HR Intern will report to the HR Generalist & Payroll Specialist and collaborate closely with the HR Team and leadership. The HR Intern will also collaborate with other Allied OMS departments and practices to support their objectives and recruiting needs. Upon the successful completion of the internship, there will be an opportunity to transition into a full-time role as an HR Coordinator. The position will be hybrid, requiring the individual to work from the Southlake office a few days each week, where they will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with HR team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with practice-level recruiting efforts, such as drafting and posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting screenings
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of data entry
  • Assist the Payroll and Benefits team with reports and ad hoc projects
  • Support employee onboarding process: assisting with timely I-9 filings and tracking onboarding employees for various locations
  • Assist with administrative tasks within the HRIS Paylocity system, independently run reports, and learn to review/analyze confidential data
  • Aids HR staff with monitoring shared Outlook inbox folders to ensure that various requests are assigned to the correct HR Representative
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for improving HR and company processes
  • Maintains confidentiality of personal and sensitive information
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

The ideal candidate has:

  • Strong communication skills. Must be able to express and adapt style dependent upon audience with effective active listening skills
  • The ability to brainstorm, iterate, and execute ideas quickly
  • Openness when receiving and giving feedback and critiques
  • Excellent time management skills – the ability to work under a deadline, juggle multiple projects at a time, and wear multiple hats
  • Eagerness to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think on your feet and work independently
  • The desire to learn and gain exposure to Human Resources-related issues
  • Willingness to expand and practice skills outside your expertise or comfort zone
Requirements:
  • Working on a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management, or a related field; must be at least a senior in undergrad to be considered
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Excellent administrative and project management skills
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)

Length of Internship: Minimum of 12 weeks with the opportunity to extend

Working Environment: Hybrid from the Southlake office.

The candidate must be able to work in the United States legally; we cannot provide sponsorship. Allied OMS is a proud equal opportunity employer.
