Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Compliance Analyst to join our compliance team. The Compliance Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization operates in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Compliance Monitoring:

    • Monitor regulatory developments, changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the organization.
    • Assess the impact of regulatory changes and update compliance policies and procedures accordingly.
  2. Compliance Audits and Assessments:

    • Conduct compliance audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare audit findings reports and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  3. Policy and Procedure Development:

    • Assist in developing and updating compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines based on regulatory requirements and best practices.
    • Ensure policies are communicated effectively to employees and stakeholders.
  4. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

    • Identify compliance risks through risk assessments and gap analyses.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified compliance risks.
  5. Training and Education:

    • Develop and deliver compliance training programs and materials for employees to promote awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance-related inquiries and issues.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and databases related to compliance activities, audits, and assessments.
    • Prepare compliance reports and metrics for management and regulatory authorities as required.
  7. Investigations and Remediation:

    • Investigate compliance incidents, allegations of non-compliance, or breaches.
    • Coordinate remediation efforts and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  8. Continuous Improvement and Compliance Monitoring:

    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance processes, procedures, and controls.
    • Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring activities and assist in preparing for regulatory examinations and audits.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CRCM, CCEP) are a plus.
  • X+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or related roles, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks (e.g., AML, GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory texts and apply them to practical situations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and compliance management software/tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
