Job Summary: The Financial Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the organization's financial activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies. This role involves monitoring financial practices, conducting audits, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the organization's financial operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as SOX, GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of internal and external audits, including gathering documentation, reviewing financial records, and addressing audit findings.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and compliance policies to safeguard the organization's financial integrity.
  • Monitor financial transactions and processes to identify potential compliance issues, discrepancies, or areas of risk; prepare reports on compliance status and findings.
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify areas for improvement in compliance practices.
  • Provide training and support to finance and accounting teams on compliance requirements, internal controls, and best practices.
  • Investigate any compliance breaches or irregularities, working with relevant departments to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, policies, procedures, and audit results.
  • Work closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment on compliance issues and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, industry standards, and best practices, recommending updates to policies and procedures as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial compliance, audit, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GAAP, IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective compliance strategies.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial documents and ensuring compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey compliance requirements and findings to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial management systems and compliance software; experience with audit tools is a plus.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion and compliance with deadlines.
