Job Description:

As the Senior Director of Research and Development (R&D) at Augmentjobs, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of our R&D initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring the development of cutting-edge products, and maintaining our position as a leader in the industry. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in managing large R&D teams, a deep understanding of market trends, and a strong commitment to bringing innovative solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the R&D strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals, focusing on innovation, product development, and technological advancement.

  • Innovation Management: Oversee the entire innovation lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization, ensuring the development of groundbreaking products that meet market needs.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary R&D team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the R&D budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI and meet project deadlines.

  • Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to drive collaborative innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Ph.D. or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Science).

  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in R&D leadership roles, preferably within a high-tech or innovative industry.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and manage cross-functional projects.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of R&D processes, product development, and technology trends.

  • Innovation Focus: Strong track record of driving innovation and bringing new products to market.
