Job Description: We are looking for hospitality-minded leaders who can promote encouragement and staff progression in a professional and positive culture. The role of the Event Sales Manager is to market, sell and coordinate the event space on behalf of Halls Signature Events. This position will handle customer inquiries and is the point of contact for all event details. The Event Sales Manager will oversee the collective coordination of all event information and resources and is responsible for account management, sales prospecting and business development.

What youll do:
  • Generate sales and maximize revenue by soliciting past and future clients, handling special event inquiries, making out of office sales calls and presentations to potential clients, making cold calls, and handling special event inquiry calls
  • Meet or exceed established revenue and volume goals on a monthly and annual basis
  • Maintain active knowledge of market supply and demand, changing trends and competitor activities
  • Attend occasional networking meetings, including but not limited to ILEA, NACE, Charleston CVB Travel Council
  • Regularly visit various groups to build relationships with hotel concierge, local neighborhood businesses including Charleston CVB, Wedding Planners, Associations, etc.that can drive Halls Signature Events Business
  • Develop yearly marketing plan in collaboration with GM
  • Manage daily social media marketing.
  • Oversee and assist with custom proposal development
  • Attend planning meetings with clients
  • Develop critical path and working budgets, tracking and reporting progress.
    • Ensures accurate and timely payment and recording of all SEOs and related deposits and resolves billing issues with clients
  • Produce contracts, SEOs and BEOs for all events
  • Generate regular Gather reports to track activity and revenue generation
  • Use, manage and maintain sales software and systems
  • Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date files
  • Serve as the on-site contact and go to person for client the day of the event
  • Liaise on the floor between front of the house service staff and back of the house kitchen staff to ensure a seamless successful timely event flow
  • Other duties as assigned
