We have an immediate opening for an Operations Team Manager at our Lebanon, OH facility. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the Night shift Capsule production process, ensuring daily product quality and production efficiency, establishing operational headcount, and training and developing the team, and the interviewing and hiring of new employees. The night shift manager is responsible for providing for the safety and well-being of all employees on shift and interacts with all internal Departments, Rabbi’s for Kosher approval, and internal and external Auditors.

Key competencies: Strong Analytical Skills, Excellent Communicator, Coaching and Development Skills, Critical Thinking and using proven methods for Root Cause Analysis, Strong Computer Skills, Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Practices, Mathematical Skills including Weights and Conversions, and Attention to Detail.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a Production shift and supervisory personnel on the overnight shift.
  • Determine and ensure adequate staffing to meet production needs.
  • Lead the team that interviews, hires and trains new employees
  • Develop and implement leadership development and coaching plans for subordinates and supervisors.
  • Ensure departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures are consistently applied and executed against.
  • Monitor and measure production performance with regard to quality, efficiency, and manpower.
  • Collaborate with the other shifts to maintain and improve department efficiencies
  • Identify areas of opportunity and lead Continuous Improvement projects.
    • Utilize Mane’s Management of Change process to ensure organizational alignment
  • Responsible for determining root cause for Safety, Quality, or Production incidents that may occur on shift.
    • Collaborate with appropriate functions to implement preventative measures
    • Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews
  • Conduct daily production meetings.
  • Ensure consistent communication between supervisors and operators in the alignment of performance expectations and individual objectives.
  • Assure all GMP rules are properly followed, including personal hygiene, trash removal, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards of equipment and processes.
  • Assure manufacturing practices are consistent with the Company’s global standards.
  • Provide guidance and corrective action to employees as required, utilizing goals and objectives, performance appraisals, coaching, and disciplinary processes as primary mechanisms.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Every employee is expected to participate in education/training about MANE’s environmental commitments and then actively apply this to job-related and job-specific roles and responsibilities.
  • Management will support and facilitate education, training, and action within their teams to effectively and adequately implement environmental policies, procedures and practices, as well as promote continual improvement consistent with environmental objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required with Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Production Management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and SQF preferred.
  • Understanding of project management protocols.
  • Comfortable functioning in a global business with weekly communications to other international locations.
  • Previous Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing and walking up to 100% of the shift
  • Ability to lift 50lb boxes as needed
