COORDINATOR, OPERATIONS

ABOUT MLB Players, Inc.

MLB Players, Inc. (MLBPI) is the for-profit corporate subsidiary tasked with managing all commercial activities of the Major League Baseball Players Association. MLBPI brings to market products and services featuring the publicity rights (name/image/likeness) of our Players. With 100+ partners all over the world, MLBPI negotiates agreements to ensure that Player-centric products are part of the suite of baseball-related items offered to fans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Coordinator will support MLBPI processes and oversee operational tasks to ensure efficiency and accuracy. This role requires in-depth knowledge of MLB and MiLB players, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Managerial

  • Support the collection of agreements from all MLB and MiLB Players. Maintain tracking of all current MLB players and top prospects, updating tracker daily throughout the season. Conduct outreach to Players missing documentation.

  • Manage the product budget for Players, Inc., ensuring collection of contractual products through collaboration with partners and managers. Present annual value assessment to senior management.

  • Coordinate the processing of licensing agreements / amendments and maintain an internal tracker to monitor the status of all legal documents. Provide weekly updates to staff to ensure agreements are moving swiftly. Circulate agreements for MLBPA and MLBPI execution, distribute fully executed copies, and manage the filing system. Promptly archive agreements with expired partners.

  • Create and develop presentation decks, financial reports, pitch decks and other materials, as requested.

  • Administrative Support:
    1. Schedule bi-weekly staff meetings; compile staff notes for weekly distribution.
    2. Handle incoming phone calls, assist with mailings, stocking office supplies, schedule meetings and other administrative functions.
    3. Support calendars of executives.
    4. Handle charitable donation requests.
    5. Manage internal CRM to ensure accuracy of content and contacts.

Strategic

  • Work cross functionally to support MLBPI management in exploring new business opportunities. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, conducting industry research, facilitating meetings, and preparing presentations, memos, and recommendations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience is a plus.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Passion for baseball and knowledge of baseball players.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly skilled in Power Point and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work across a wide range of high priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

REPORTS TO: Manager, Operations

SALARY: $45,000 to $55,000 per year plus benefits
