ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Responsible for keeping inventory of merchandise.
  • Establishes and maintains an organized flow of goods in the stock room.
  • Organizes and maintains the stockrooms to company standards.
  • Ensures accuracy of all incoming/outgoing shipments of merchandise
  • Prepares merchandise for vendor returns and interdepartmental transfers.
  • Maintain and follow all alcohol and health guidelines for inventory, purchasing, and storage.
  • Obtain and review bids for projects, including capital projects. Operational and inventory procedures and policies for Jazz Fest and other special events.
  • Maintain, issue, and track items for OTB operations including Video Poker, as well as all F&B items required for food service operations.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining of all F&B equipment.
  • Track and review issuing of inventory and provide information when there are discrepancies, theft, and COGS variances.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

CERTIFICATION and

21 years old

Special certifications, licenses, etc.

Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Job-related environmental factors

Office/Casino environment; Subject to outdoor temperature; Exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise at times. The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level. Will occasional work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
