As a Business Development Representative at Simply Easier Payments, you will identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting activities. You will collaborate with hands-on industry veterans to create and implement strategies to target potential clients. This role will engage prospective clients in an energetic, professional, and positive manner through various promotional efforts to grow the business and help the company expand.
On an average day, you will:
- Research and gather information about target industries, companies, and decision-makers to create targeted outreach strategies
- Generate lists of prospective clients for targeted marketing and sales activities using CRM tools
- Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and qualify potential leads through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities using CRM tools
- Provide regular reports and updates on lead generation activities, pipeline status, and conversion rates
- Prepare and submit sales contracts
- Schedule and participate in product demos for prospective clients
- Measure the efficacy of sales outreach and lead conversion activities
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
- Attend networking events and conferences
To qualify for this job, you must have:
- 2+ years of experience selling technology to buyers in companies with 100+ employees.
- Proficiency with Excel or maintaining records in a database
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- An unapologetic drive for success, coupled with a willingness to learn and work as hard as it takes to make it happen
We'd also love it if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools
- Experience maintaining and analyzing data
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 40-pound boxes and assemble/disassemble/pack/unpack tradeshow materials such as banners and signage
