Position Title:Configuration Management Specialist

Position Location:Full Time onsite in San Antonio, TX


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Configuration Management Specialist - Level III is responsible for the development, design and daily operational duties of the configuration control management planning.
  • Assists and reviews identification of configurable items, change and status accounting, and configuration verification of configuration items.
  • This position is also responsible for defining responsibilities as it relates to the configurable items.
  • This position also assists with operation of the program support library.
  • Level III performs more independent thinking and difficult tasks compared to Level II, and may supervise others.


Required Years of Experience (min):

  • Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.


Required Degree:

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalency.


Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience in developing and designing configuration control management plans, including daily operational duties and strategic planning for configuration management.
  • Proven ability to assist and review the identification of configurable items, manage change and status accounting, and verify configuration items, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Strong skills in defining and assigning responsibilities related to configurable items, ensuring clarity and accountability within the team.
  • Experience in managing and operating program support libraries, with the ability to supervise others, perform independent tasks, and handle complex and challenging responsibilities at a higher level than Level II specialists.

  • Tier 3 (T3)/Public Trust (min.)
