Lead Configuration Management Expert

As a Lead Configuration Management Expert, you will serve as the primary point of contact and authoritative figure for Configuration Management activities within the Program Office at McLaughlin Research. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing and documenting robust configuration and data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the senior specialist overseeing Configuration Management initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with established configuration management processes across engineering teams.
- Establish and maintain configuration identification, functional, allocated, and product baselines.
- Assist in configuration control, status accounting, and conduct physical configuration audits.
- Maintain and refine configuration management procedures to align with best practices.
- Review and evaluate technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assess proposed design changes for their impact on the overall system integrity.
- Conduct both formal and informal reviews throughout the development lifecycle to uphold quality standards.
- Implement necessary directives and schedules for effective system management.
- Respond to data inquiries and calls.
- Develop, update, and sustain program documentation as part of record management.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing CMPro CM software tools.
- Proven experience in supporting and facilitating Configuration Control Boards.
- Ability to read, review, and interpret engineering and design drawings effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent time management abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Over 10 years of experience in a Configuration Management role.
- An existing U.S. Government granted personnel security clearance at the Secret level is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
