We’re looking for a talented individual to work in our Chesapeake, VA office alongside the Help Desk/ IT Support team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to end users for computer, application, system, device, account maintenance and hardware issues
  • Facilitate troubleshooting of hardware and software systems, including printers, VPN connections, and wired and wireless networking issues
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors issues using applicable systems and tools
  • Assists in onboarding and offboarding of new employees, both remote and in the office
  • Perform routine system maintenance and updates on workstations and servers
  • Support employee workstations and servers including installation and testing of operating systems, business support software including Microsoft Office, and enterprise software including Apache Tomcat and java-based web applications
  • Support a virtual environment running VMWare’s ESXi platform including initial virtual machine configuration, establishing baseline templates, content library, as well as virtual machine cloning and snapshot processes
  • Maintain hardware and software assignment documentation including routine auditing and maintaining baseline inventory levels

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in an IT support capacity
  • Associates degree in technology, computer or related field or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, UPS, and general IT Infrastructure systems
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong research, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
  • Ability to occasionally travel when required
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Security+, Networking+, or other IT-related certifications a plus
