As our Junior Mechanic, you are a valuable part of our success collaborating with the team to deliver "Powerful Solutions". This position offers training and mentorship with a skilled mechanic for 2 to 3 years and aims to support your professional growth while keeping our fleet in safe and good running order.

Some of the Work You'll Do:

  • Work with assigned technician to learn and perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs, and assist technician as needed.
  • Drive and park various vehicles for repair, such as delivery trucks, low boys, and tractor-trailers.
  • Assist in maintaining vehicles in good mechanical condition.
  • Ensure safety and emergency equipment is operational.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
  • Perform basic repairs under mechanic's guidance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes.
  • Compile vehicle maintenance records and documentation.
  • Help maintain inventory.
  • Order replacement parts via phone and online.
  • Travel to worksites to complete repairs. This may be out of town and overnight for a week at a time.
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to assist.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma, equivalent or Vocational/Technical School training.
  • Attendance and punctuality a must.
  • Eagerness to develop mechanic skills.
  • Strong customer service aptitude.
  • Proficient use of basic hand tools.
  • Basic familiarity with automotive tasks, techniques, and products.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy objects.
  • Availability for travel and out-of-town stays.
  • A valid driver's license is a must.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations.
