Job Summary:

As the Sponsorship Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to identify and research potential sponsors within a designated geographic area, ensuring they align with predefined sponsor categories. The role requires engaging with prospects through both warm and cold outreach to qualify leads and build a strong pipeline of potential clients. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in the company’s HubSpot CRM, conducting sales calls and in-person meetings, and utilizing PandaDocs to create and customize sponsorship proposals. Additionally, the role involves managing the entire sponsorship deal lifecycle, serving as the primary advocate and point of contact for sponsors, and proactively tracking and facilitating sponsorship renewals.


Responsibilities:


Lead Prospecting

Identify and research potential sponsors within a designated geographic area who align with the predefined sponsor categories. Utilize various tools and resources to compile a list of prospects that fit the organization's target market, ensuring a focused and strategic approach to lead generation.


Conduct Warm & Cold Outreach

Engage with prospective sponsors through a combination of warm and cold outreach methods, including email campaigns and phone calls. The goal is to qualify these leads by assessing their needs, interest, and ability to purchase sponsorship packages, establishing a strong pipeline of potential clients.


Update Sales CRM Database

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s HubSpot CRM. This includes tracking new deals, entering detailed information on companies and contacts, logging sales activities, and ensuring that all relevant data is captured and accessible for reporting and follow-up purposes.


Conduct Sales Calls & In-Person Meetings

Engage in sales calls and in-person meetings with prospective sponsors to discuss their needs, present sponsorship opportunities, and negotiate terms. Tailor each interaction to address the unique goals of the prospect, ensuring a personalized approach.


Prepare Sponsorship Proposals

Utilize PandaDocs to create sponsorship proposals using predefined templates. Customize each proposal by inputting specific deal information relevant to the sponsor category. Ensure each proposal is accurately tailored to reflect the sponsor's particular needs and investment details.


Manage Deal Lifecycle & Renewal

Serve as an advocate and point of contact for sponsors after they have purchased a sponsorship. Keep track of sponsorship renewal dates and proactively follow up with sponsors to facilitate their renewal, presenting new opportunities when appropriate.


Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in sponsorship or event sales.
  2. A strong track record of success in previous sales roles
  3. Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems for tracking and managing sales activities.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Confidence in making and receiving phone calls, pitching products, and building relationships.
  7. Proficiency in using Windows computers.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  9. Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  11. Must be located in or willing to relocate to Fresno, CA.
