About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales District Manager to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for supervising the activities of our sales staff assigned to your district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of sales staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to ensure they meet their sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Sales Performance: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targeted sales goals, operating within budgetary guidelines and ensuring the profitability of your district.
  • Customer Relationships: Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and developing policies and practices to effectively meet those needs.
  • Product Knowledge and Training: Develop and educate sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies through regular sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry organization meetings, attend industry shows and events, and develop and present major account presentations to drive business growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage customer complaints, issues, and emergencies, ensuring timely and quality resolution.
  • Account Management: Establish and monitor major account prospect lists, process customer rebates and incentives, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven sales leadership experience with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and manage a team to achieve sales targets.
  • Strong product knowledge and understanding of the food distribution industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
