Job DescriptionJob Description

Management Support Technology, Inc. (MSTI) is currently seeking an individual to support our IT Asset Management Team on a temporary basis for the next 3 to 6 months. If you possess a comprehensive working knowledge of Service Now IT Asset Management and have a strong attention to detail, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our dynamic organization. As part of our team in downtown Washington, DC, you will play a vital role in providing IT asset and equipment storage room services to support government personnel in their daily operations. Join us at MSTI and take on the challenge of managing and optimizing IT assets in a rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full physical inventory of all IT assets located in IT asset storage rooms, and provide reports
  • Keep the IT asset storage area room maintained in an organized manner as to facilitate asset retrieval and inspection, and to protect the assets from damage
  • Palletize IT assets for transport and/or disposal; create an inventory for each pallet; update Service Now as appropriate
  • Assist with physically locating IT assets not found during employee self-certification and/or electronic inventories performed on IT assets
  • Palletize IT assets marked for disposal
  • Run reports on the receipt, issuance, inventory and disposal of all IT Assets as well as create Excel Spreadsheets
  • Provide input and maintain an Asset Management Plan and Operating Procedures
  • Work with minimal direction while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to troubleshoot issues and provide common sense solutions to management staff
  • Communicate with internal and external customers

Required Education & Skills

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a computer related field desired.
  • 3 years’ experience in IT Enterprise environment.
  • Possess knowledge of IT asset management processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Possess working knowledge of the “Service Now" IT Asset Management Applications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
