We are seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to support the Department of Energy across various locations in the United States.

As an IT Asset Management Specialist, you will be entrusted with managing intricate projects and overseeing the technical, administrative, and operational aspects of a range of development initiatives, from straightforward to complex.

Key Responsibilities:


The IT Asset Management Specialist will enhance processes to catalog current assets, manage the disposal of end-of-life assets, and procure replacements as necessary, adhering to established government protocols and tools.


  • Collaborate with federal management to refine and implement processes
  • Maintain accurate asset records
  • Oversee asset disposal
  • Prepare assets for disposal
  • Report on inventoried assets
  • Document disposed assets
  • Engage in special projects as needed
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills with supervisors and government clients
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer applications
Your performance will be evaluated based on precise asset inventory management and timely reporting of inventory and disposal activities.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or a related discipline.

  • Familiarity with Mobile Device assets
  • Comprehensive understanding of asset management practices and procedures
  • Exceptional inventory and cost-management capabilities
  • Knowledge of various licensing frameworks and hardware contracts
  • Proficient in ITSM platforms, particularly ServiceNow
  • Experienced with asset scanning technologies and solutions
  • Skilled in identifying and developing workflows
  • Willingness to undergo random drug screening
  • May require occasional travel
  • Asset Management Certification is advantageous

Our competitive salary range for this role is $88,275 - $92,000, determined by experience, geographic location, and contractual obligations.
