The Team

Sales Engineer Specialists are a critical component of the newly formed Market Development team, which has the remit to accelerate and scale revenue growth from key product lines in the US. Working closely with our commercial teams, the Sales Engineer Specialist function complements the customer-driven approach of the sales team with a product-driven approach, maximizing penetration of our big product bets in existing customers and new prospects.

The Role

This role will report into the Director of Market Development for Americas, who sits on the senior management team. It is a sole contributor role but will be expected to form strong and productive relationships with stakeholders within the business and with customers.

What you will do

  • Be responsible for growing the revenue GBG generates from our Documents & Biometrics product portfolio across all customers and prospects in the US.
  • Become an internal subject matter expert in Documents & Biometrics, supporting our internal teams to help customers unlock value and solve problems with our products.
  • Support sales management to ensure revenue opportunities are identified, qualified and delivered – being a driving force that stimulates activity and delivers results.
  • Partner with all go-to-market teams to support the sales cycle, e.g. attending client meetings, supporting deal closing activities, providing coaching for ongoing development, supporting Marketing campaigns, participating in Enablement activities .
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.
  • Be a radar for market insight, building knowledge and developing an internal and external reputation for expertise.
  • Work collaboratively with our Product teams to ensure client challenges are addressed through our Product Roadmap and we maintain differentiation.

Requirements

  • Experience working in go-to-market functions for B2B technology – delivering solutions to customer problems, ideally with experience selling or supporting similar Documents and Biometrics products.
  • Strong people skills, with an ability to quickly establish relationships.
  • Positivity, drive and hunger to exceed expectations, this will be demonstrated by a track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
  • Customer-oriented with a high level of professionalism and able to engage stakeholders of different seniorities
  • Responsive, friendly and thoughtful in communications; effective in communicating ideas and information, both written and verbally
  • Someone who will consistently demonstrate a passion for GBG’s core values and with a good sense of humor
