The American Beverage Corporation (ABC) is a diversified beverage company based in Verona, Pennsylvania along with a manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona. ABC manufactures and markets fruit drinks, ready-to-drink alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic cocktail mixers. The company’s brands include the iconic and highly recognizable Little Hug Fruit Barrels, Big Hug and Guzzler in addition to Daily’s (alcoholic cocktail drinks and mixers). The company was first founded in 1960 as Daily Orange Juice Company, which delivered fresh orange juice door-to-door in Verona. Today, ABC is owned by Harvest Hill Beverage Company.

SUMMARY: The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating assigned production line equipment within our manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follow all safety, food safety, & GMP rules and regulations.
  • Keep work area clean and organized by practicing good housekeeping in the immediate work area.
  • Operate labelers; Overwrap packers, pouch fillers & packers; and douglas wrap around packers.
  • Work as a team with your fellow operators.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and customer specifications. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

COMPUTER SKILLS None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visions and ability to adjust focus.
