Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Superior Metals Manufacturing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing intermediate skilled maintenance tasks on state-of-the-art equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing foundry equipment using standard maintenance skills.
  • Conduct regular scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and implement repairs.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Install and configure electronic control systems for production machinery and associated automated equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with operators to troubleshoot, repair, and test equipment.
  • Complete work orders, safety checklists, and order lists of equipment and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspond with coworkers and suppliers/vendors.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and piping schematics.
