Job Title: Cybersecurity Consultant

Overview: As a Cybersecurity Consultant, you will help organizations protect their information systems and data from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. You will assess security measures, develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to safeguard clients' digital assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk evaluations, to identify weaknesses in clients' IT environments.
  • Develop and recommend cybersecurity strategies and frameworks tailored to clients' specific needs and industry standards. Design and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats and incidents. Provide guidance on threat detection, response, and recovery strategies to protect clients from evolving cyber threats.
  • Ensure that clients' cybersecurity practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST). Assist with preparing for and managing audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures. Support clients in managing and responding to security incidents, including containment, investigation, and remediation.
  • Design and implement security architecture and solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and access controls. Ensure that security measures are integrated into clients' IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs for client teams to enhance their understanding of security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.
  • Prepare detailed reports on security assessments, incidents, and remediation efforts. Document security policies, procedures, and controls, and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, information security, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat management, risk assessment, and security architecture. Proficiency in using security tools and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex security concepts and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to assess security risks, interpret data, and provide actionable insights for improving security measures.
  • Proven ability to manage cybersecurity projects, including coordinating with cross-functional teams and delivering results within established timelines.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
