This 11-month onsite contract position in Austin, TX, provides the chance to lead the design, planning, and implementation of complex applications in a dynamic environment. Position Details:• Job Title: Principal Consultant – Java Developer• Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)• Duration: 11 months• Rate: $45-$50 per hour• Experience: 5-10 years• Job Category: Information Technology (IT)• Sub Category: Software Development, Systems Administration and Networking, Data Analysis and Business Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Information Security, IT Support and Help Desk, Web Development and Design, Database Administration, Cloud Computing and DevOps, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, IT Project Management/Business Analyst/QA
Key Responsibilities:• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of multifaceted Java applications.• Collaborate closely with clients to transform complex ideas into scalable, end-to-end solutions.• Innovate and evaluate emerging technologies to provide elegant solutions that align with clients’ business goals.• Develop best practices, mentor team members, and manage the project scope and deliverables throughout the development lifecycle.• Write high-quality code with fully automated unit test coverage (Junit) and apply design/coding standards.• Work with CI/CD systems, build tools, and data platforms to ensure smooth and efficient development processes.• Develop web services and APIs using REST and SOAP, and ensure high performance and scalability.• Utilize front-end development technologies such as Angular js and Node js, and work with LINUX/UNIX environments.• Leverage cloud infrastructures, particularly Azure, and apply knowledge of microservices and automated integration testing.
Required Skills and Experience:• Significant software development experience with expertise in Java 7 and above.• Proficiency in Multi-threading, Collections, and concurrent API.• Experience with CI/CD systems, MVC frameworks, and cloud infrastructures (Azure).• Strong knowledge of OOPs, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.• Experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies and API management.• Familiarity with LINUX/UNIX environments and front-end technologies such as Angular js.
Preferred Qualifications:• B Tech/M Tech/BCA/MCA degree.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops.• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
